Talent Acquisition Realities 2024 part 2: Budgets and investment

Fosway Group, Europe’s #1 HR industry analyst, has published its annual Talent Acquisition Realities research for 2024, in association with Recfest, the global leader in TA events, and the ultimate twice-yearly gathering for in-house recruitment teams to connect and innovate.

Hire quality, candidate experience, external hiring and recruiting value are now the lead talent acquisition priorities for the year ahead, and economic headwinds are biting with 75% reporting stagnating or reduced budgets. Challenging times, but a climate in which TA teams are looking to adjust to through a focus on internal development and retention, amongst other areas of focus.

The infographics are part of a five-part series published weekly, and results can be found below.

Budgets and Tech Investment Trends

A snapshot of the second infographic: Only one in four expects to see their talent acquisition budget grow this year, and the pressure to do more with the same, or with less, is a day-to-day reality for most TA professionals. With 39% of recruiters expecting overall budget cuts, this is a tough market to be a recruiter or a provider, as on balance the number looking to spend more is contracting.

We are excited to launch this year’s survey and look forward to uncovering insights that help shape the HR strategies of tomorrow. We encourage HR professionals to join us in this research at a time of immense innovation and change
